canku = canada + haiku.
way back in the summer of 2004, cbc radio 3 had a web'zine that rocked. they put up a call for canku submissions, haikus that captured canadian moments.
i submitted one. it was one of the few that they published. i am proud. so i found my haiku again, on a piece of paper stuck inside an old wallet. i reprint it here for your enjoyment.

i'm sorry, i've fallen behind. procrastinating late tonight, inertia slowing the segue from one task to the next. the sand in my potential sleep timer slowly draining. so dumb.
as dumb as that canku is freaking brilliant. love it. please write more. i don't know if academe is it for you (sorry, source incoherent commenting), but writing sure as heck is.
